The North Star, while starting off a bit shakey, rose to epic heights as she banged out her rendition of the classic 90’s New Radicals hit ‘Get what you give’. Supported by a host of colourful characters, including internet sensation ‘Plug Boy’ #PlugLife, the kids performance more than paid off the campaign line ‘We give all we got for the ones we love’, as they performed for their parents in the crowd. The key challenge was to give a walk through of various exhibits, an epic cinematic look, while still showing it clearly as a ‘behind the scenes’ experience. Rather than attraction lighting, shoulder-cam and your typical smiling family of four, we bucked the category format and chose to follow a rolling coin on it’s epic adventure, set to some stirring poetry read by Warwick Davis, the goblin banker Griphook. The band also wanted the story to be set on water. We travelled to Thailand to shoot the film, and also find amazing talent, who put in their all to bring this to life. This turned a normal TV ad into something far more challenging, where viewers had to literally keep up to get the message.
